Match Highlights: India vs. Sri Lanka, November 2, 2023

India defeated Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in Perth during their strong performance in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

India Batting:

India began carefully after winning the toss, with Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul advancing the score. Sharma hit a half-century off 59 balls, while Rahul hit 47 off 62. Chamika Karunaratne removed Virat Kohli after he hit 80 runs off 75 balls. Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav scored 42 and 37 runs, respectively, to win the match.

Sri Lanka Bowling:

Dushmantha Chameera and Chamika Karunaratne of Sri Lanka battled to control Indian batters on slow fields, with Chameera grabbing two wickets and Karunaratne collecting one.

Sri Lanka Batting:

Sri Lanka failed to get off to a good start in their chase, losing three wickets in the opening ten overs. Charith Asalanka and Chamika Karunaratne contributed to their victory, but the rest of the team did not, resulting in a 215-run defeat.

India Bowling:

The Indian bowlers, headed by Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj, bowled with great discipline and precision, making it tough for Sri Lankan batters to score freely. Their quickness, accuracy, and economical spells aided in putting pressure on the Sri Lankan batters.
